Ball possession: From 4 vst 1 to 4 vs 4

Form a 25x25 meters playing area using the markers. Arrange 4 players inside the square wearing white t-shirts against a red player. Another three red players stay outside the square. Give a ball to the white team.
- The four players that wear white t-shirts must maintain possession for 1 minute against the four red players that get inside the square one at a time for 10 seconds until a 4vs4 is set
- If red players recover the ball they must try to carry it outside of the square and the 4 players wearing white t-shirts must try to prevent it by possessing the ball again as fast as possible.
- If a team keeps possession for 1 minute they score 3 points
- If defenders recover the ball and carry it outside of the square they score 1 point
- The 4 defenders turn around the square before getting in
- The team that has the ball can touch it a maximum of 2 times
- Keep a high pace during the whole exercise
- Create possession triangles to avoid opponents
- Work on reaction of the negative transition, once the player loses the ball, the closest player to the ball, presses the opponent while their teammates get closer
- Work on the distances between players
- Work on body positioning during ball reception, it should always be facing the widest part of the pitch
- Encourage the give and go: After playing the ball to a teammate, the player keeps running to an free space an receive the ball again
- Minimum ideal unity: The player that has the ball must always have available a minimum number of teammates that can guarantee him a pass at any time
- The player that is closer to the one that possesses the ball must choose what to do, approaching or moving to depth, activating consequently the movement of their teammates
- Encourage players to perform the counter movement to lose the marker and the consequent reception of the ball
- To accomplish a continuous mobility and keep the propper staggering, two close players who are on the same line either vertical or horizontal have to move, creating diagonal lines
- Close to the coach there should be an adequate number of balls
