Threaded pass - Exercise to train movement in depth

- Series: 3 of 5 minutes each with 2 minutes of recovery in between

- Forwards have to reach Goal Zone with a threaded pass towards a teammate or driving the ball
- Defenders have to prevent them from entering the Goal Zone
- Once they are inside the Goal Zone, forwards have to shoot at goal in 3 seconds
- Defenders cannot follow the forwards inside Goal Zone but they can use the offside rule
- Every time players A receive the ball or drive it to the Goal Zone, they gain 1 point
- Every time players A receive the ball inside the Goal Zone after a threaded pass they gain 2 points
- If players A score a goal they gain 3 points
- When the defenders recover the ball, they need to drive it outside the Play Zone towards halfway line to gain 2 points
- Defenders can follow forwards inside Goal Zone
- Add a third defender
- Forwards have to perform a minimum number of passes to access the Goal Zone (for example, five passes)
- Add small goals near the halfway line where defenders can shoot at goal
- Players should try to perform a threaded pass after a good amount of passes
- Pay attention to ball possession and losing the marker movements (timing)
- Defenders should be organized and cooperate
- Player with ball possession should unbalance the defense and then look for a threaded pass
