Conditioned game, created by Chelsea Youth Academy, with a final pass executed by the neutral player |
Pass, Intercepting, Pressing |
Delimit a playing area of 20x20 meters using the markers. On each side of the square place a small goal. In the middle of the pitch create another square of 5x5 meters. Divide players into two teams of four players plus two neutral players (A and B). One of the neutral players goes inside the smaller square.
- Players perform a ball possession and end it by shooting at one of the four goals
- The last pass before finishing must be executed by one of the neutral players
- Neutral players play with the team that possesses the ball
- Neutral players, in turns, position themselves as follows:
- One inside the small square (A)
- One moving freely inside the big square (B)
- The team that scores more goals during the series wins
- Free ball touches
- After each goal, the teams swap the possession of the ball
- Neutral players swap positions after each goal
- Limit the number of ball touches for neutral players
- Limit the number of ball touches for all players
- Headers are worth 2 points
- Work on body orientation when receiving the ball, it should always be facing the widest part of the pitch
- After playing the ball with a teammate, the player looks for an empty space where they can receive the ball again
- The player that possesses the ball must have always available a minimum number of teammates to ensure a passing solution at any time
- The closest player to the one that possesses the ball must choose what to do, an approaching or in depth movement
- Encourage neutral players to perform a counter movement to lose a marker
- During the defensive phase work on the tactical aspect of positioning, a tactical behaviour that includes the following capacities:
- Cognitive
- Evaluation of space and time
- Motor anticipation
- Encourage the recovery of the ball through a constant pressing
